Την Τρίτη, ο Ουκρανός πρόεδρος είχε δηλώσει ότι η Ουκρανία ανακατέλαβε από τους Ρώσους 6.000 τετραγωνικά χιλιόμετρα κατά την πρόσφατη αντεπίθεση των δυνάμεών της. Ουκρανοί αξιωματούχοι δηλώνουν ωστόσο ότι είναι σημαντικό να γίνεται διάκριση ανάμεσα στην ανακατάληψη εδαφών και την εγγύηση ότι είναι απολύτως ασφαλή.
Παράλληλα η εταιρεία ενέργειας Ukrenergo ανακοίνωσε απόψε ότι τα συνεργεία επισκευών αποκατέστησαν τη λειτουργία των δύο κύριων γραμμών παροχής ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας στο Χάρκοβο και την γύρω περιοχή της πόλης αυτής στην ανατολική Ουκρανία, μετά τις διακοπές ηλεκτρικού ρεύματος που προκάλεσαν ρωσικοί βομβαρδισμοί.
